I had anticipated this adventure for weeks after I booked it, long before I strapped myself into the comfortable seat with extra large windows for the best sightseeing experience. As the rotor blades began to spin and we started our liftoff, we started our amazing journey.
I chose the 45 minute Helicopter Tour in the Eco Star Helicopter which included multilingual narration that provided fascinating narratives about the geological and cultural history of the canyon, enhancing the awe-inspiring views with stories of the past The oversized windows were great for taking pictures and helicopter was super quiet, which preserves the natural soundscape of the Grand Canyon National Park and causes no disruption to the local wildlife.
As we flew over the most amazing parts of the Grand Canyon South Rim, we saw the deepest and widest sections of this impressive wonder. We saw the oldest exposed geology known to man in the ancient rock formations, and swift currents of the Colorado River. We even got to see the North Rim with lush greenery in the Kaibab Forest.
